With a sense of Déjà Vu, HLTH 2022 announced their Impact Program “Patients at HLTH” track. I Plan to be there. Let’s meet!

Mark Scrimshire – 2022-11-03: Next Week (November 13-16 ) I will be heading to Las Vegas to attend HLTH 2022. I am delighted to see that their is a “PATIENTS AT HLTH” Impact Program. The sense of Déjà Vu for me comes from a couple of factors: The Venue, Ceasars Palace, is where I presented at HIMSS in 2011. My presentation at that event was “AEIOU, A Recipe for Patient engagement.”

I am delighted to see that their is a “PATIENTS AT HLTH” Impact Program. It seems entirely appropriate to bring a few vowels back to Ceasars Palace and HLTH 2022 to represent Patients!

At the event I followed the Surgeon General, Regina Benjamin, and my friend and tireless Patient Advocate, Regina Holliday. These are two powerful ladies that can capture a room. To rise to the occasion I focused on Patient Engagement and how we need to redesign healthcare for the real benefit of the patient.

The image you see above is my Walking Gallery of Healthcare jacket. AEIOU – A Recipe for Patient Engagement. Regina Holliday painted the jacket for me to commemorate the event. I will be wearing this jacket at HLTH.

It seems entirely appropriate to bring a few vowels back to Ceasars Palace and HLTH 2022 to represent Patients!

If you see me wearing either of my jackets. Come and say hello! We can talk about how our work at OnyxHealth.io is Disrupting Healthcare by driving Interoperability in healthcare using HL7 FHIR.

  1. As Mark Scrimshire attends HLTH 2022 and reflects on his past presentation at HIMSS in 2011, particularly focusing on the theme of “AEIOU, A Recipe for Patient Engagement,” what insights or developments in patient engagement is he looking forward to exploring or contributing to during the HLTH 2022 event, and how does he see the evolution of patient engagement in the healthcare landscape since his presentation at HIMSS in 2011?
