We are looking for a motivated and talented Technical Implementation Engineer to join our dynamic team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute hands-on experience, mentor junior professionals, and contribute to meaningful projects.

Experience Level: Mid-Level (7 + years of experience in Implementation and Support)
The Technical Implementation Engineer plays a key role in delivering successful client implementations and ongoing support. You will collaborate with clients, internal product and engineering teams, and third-party partners to configure and deploy Onyx’s solutions in alignment with project timelines and technical requirements.
This role is both client-facing and hands-on technical, requiring a blend of systems integration knowledge, API familiarity, troubleshooting capability, and communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Implementation & Deployment
- Support the end-to-end implementation of Onyx products, including configuration, data integration, and environment setup.
- Assist clients in integrating Onyx APIs with their internal systems, including EHRs, data platforms, and third-party tools.
- Provide guidance on API usage, data formats, system requirements, and secure access configuration.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful product deployment in client environments (cloud or on-prem).
Client Support & Troubleshooting
- Act as Tier 2 support for client technical issues during implementation and post-deployment phases.
- Troubleshoot API integration issues, data mapping discrepancies, and environment-related challenges.
- Work with engineering teams to escalate and resolve complex issues as needed.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and best practices for knowledge sharing.
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with project managers and client engagement leads to track implementation progress and manage risks.
- Contribute to technical onboarding materials, API documentation, integration playbooks, and FAQs.
- Provide training and enablement sessions for client technical teams.
- Capture client feedback and relay insights to internal product teams for continuous improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a technical client-facing role such as implementation engineer, integration specialist, or technical consultant.
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON, authentication protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect).
- Familiarity with integration workflows, data pipelines, or middleware tools.
- Hands-on experience with scripting or configuration in Unix/Linux environments (bash, curl, etc.).
- Understanding of network security, SSL, firewalls, and identity management principles.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a customer-first mindset.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred (but not required)
- Experience supporting healthcare clients, payers, or providers.
- Familiarity with HL7 FHIR®, CMS Interoperability and Patient Access rule, or prior authorization APIs.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) or containerized deployments (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Understanding of compliance requirements (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2) in cloud-based systems.
Work Schedule
- India business hours with flexibility to overlap with U.S. EST time zone (minimum 4 hours/day overlap expected).
- Work from office or hybrid setup depending on candidate location and company policy.
Education:
- Must be a BS / MS graduate with 3.0 GPA or higher

- Must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing.
