Onyx demonstrates SAFHIR at HL7 FHIR Dev Days

On Wednesday June 18 Onyx joined a panel of experts assembled by the CARIN Alliance to discuss the work that is being done with the CARIN Consumer-Directed Exchange Implementation Guide (Otherwise known as Blue Button 2.0) to meet the CMS Interoperability and Patient Access mandate that requires health plans to make claims information available to their members.

Our Chief Interoperability Officer, Mark Scrimshire, was a member of the panel and was called on to demonstrate how Onyx’s SAFHIR Payer Interoperability Platform is the easy button for Payers to meet the requirements of the CMS mandate.

During the Let’s build session SAFHIR was used to show how Developers could sign up and register an application for access to the CARIN Blue Button 2.0 API and, just as importantly, how a payer could easily review the application request and approve the application.

SAFHIR has supported the CARIN Blue Button IG from it’s first appearance at a HL7 FHIR Connectathon and is the premier platform offering “out of the box” support for ingestion and presentation of health plan claims information together with management of health plan member and third-party consumer application data sharing relationships.
